It's Wednesday again!

WIP Wednesdays with Tami's Amis:

Socks: Started a pair of plain vanilla socks with Lion Brand Sock Ease after a field trip to the Lion Brand Outlet.  In the way of yarn I was good and only purchased 3 skeins of sock yarn.  Also purchased were some clear boots for Babygirl so she can show off her (way in the future) knitted socks!  The smallest size the boots came in were a 9, so we've got a whole lot of time before Babygirl will fit in them, but for two bucks I couldn't pass them up.  I also got a stuffed animal that you sew together which has a recordable button inside.  I though it would be cute to record Babygirl's first words and give her the animal when she's a bit older so she can hear herself.

Child's Pinwheel Sweater is done!  It just needed arms.  Here is last week's picture:

This is what it looks like this week:
The next few weeks I"ll be concentrating on this sweater for my daughter:
And this blanket for my friend:
Sad to say this blanket was started 6 years ago.  It's been buried in the closet for most of that time.  It's pretty close to completion though.  I'm giving myself until Mother's Day to finish it and sew the pieces together.  I'm hoping to deliver it on my trip home in May.

WIP Wednesday: Another UFO to work on

WIP Wednesdays with Tami's Amis

The socks...finished the first one.  I'm taking a break before I start the second one or I may have to poke my eyes out with my knitting needles.  I had so many issues with the sock.  I really want to focus on something fun right now.

Continuing with  The Beekeeper's Quilt. Finished three puffs this week.  Haven't sewn them on yet, but here's a photo:

Pulled Child's Pinwheel Sweater out of the closet.  It just needs arms.  Hopefully this won't take too long to finish up.  Here's what it looks like at the moment:

Sippy cups

A cup is just a cup....right?  Oh so wrong.  Babygirl has been exploring the cup since she was six months old.  And boy, have we learned alot about cups the last six months!  We've been through three brands in that time.  The Lil-Gripper-Spout-Cup by Playtex is the winner in this house :

It doesn't leak, it's easy to clean and thus far has proven to be made of strong plastic.  Yes, Babygirl has reached the throwing stage.  She's caught the edge of the doorway a few times with the cup and it's still in one piece.

WIP Wednesdays #6 And We Have an FO!

WIP Wednesdays with Tami's Amis

Finally, I am done with the leprechaun hat.  Just in time for St. Patty's Day.  Problem is, Babygirl's not a big fan of this hat.  Everytime I put it on her she pulls it off.  We shall see what happens with this one.

The socks...still going.  One day I will finish these :)

I put the UFO vest back into the closet.  It was annoying me.  I really need something quick to work on right now so I pulled out The Beekeeper's Quilt.  This one's going to take a long time, but I can get a hexipuff or two in at night.  So it will give me the satisfaction of finishing something.  Last night I sewed these together:

I figure it won't be so bad if I sew a bunch together every now and then.

Review and Giveaway: Clean + Green

With a baby and two dogs I am constantly cleaning up messes.  I’m always looking for safe cleaning products to use to clean up said messes.  Recently I connected with Clean + Green and received some products to review.  The three items I received from Clean + Green are:

    * Carpet & Upholstery – Eliminates odors, deep cleans and removes stains from
         carpet, area rugs and upholstery.

    * Furniture Refresher – Cleans and eliminates pet odors on fabric and leather.

 * DeSkunk Coat Cleaner – Odor eliminator and cleaner.

The carpet and upholstery was really put to the test as one dog got sick two days after I received it.  I found the product easy to use to spot clean my carpet.  I did need to scrub the area after spraying the carpet cleaner in order to get it clean.  I felt comfortable using Clean + Green because it’s made from all natural ingredients.  With Babygirl crawling all over the place I really don’t want to be spraying chemicals on the carpet!

Next up was the Furniture Refresher.  When we got new living room furniture we moved the old furniture downstairs.  The dogs have taken to climbing up and snoozing on the chaise down there.  Furniture Refresher to the rescue!  I sprayed the chaise until it was damp, closed the door to keep the dogs off and walked away.  No scrubbing needed.  I went back down in an hour…so much better.  I’ll be adding this to my weekly cleaning routine.

Unfortunately (fortunately for me) I did not have the opportunity to try out the De-Skunker.

I really enjoyed reviewing these products.  I love finding eco-friendly, non toxic products that I can feel comfortable using around my daughter and with my pets.   The ingredients are organic and biodegradable.  Another thing I like is that this product is made in the USA and all containers can be recycled.

Clean + Green can be found on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/CleanGreenR-by-SeaYuR/83457123819 and Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/seayu

Clean + Green has offered a giveaway for one of their cleaning products.  The giveaway begins tonight and ends March 14th at 12:01 am (EST).  One lucky reader will win a cleaner of his/her choice from the Clean + Green website.  I will need the following from the winner: Name, email, address (no PO boxes), a phone number (for shipping) and the item you would like.  Winner will be chosen March 15.  Winner will be posted on the blog and notified via email.

WIP Wednesdays: Week 5

WIP Wednesdays with Tami's Amis:

My Mistake Rib Vest was pulled out of hibernation last week.  Added a bit to the shoulder. The yarn is Lion Brand Wool.

At Knit Night on Friday I worked on Bellatrix Socks by Monkeytoes.  I'm using my own Dog Gone Yarns, colorway Vampy.   Added about 10 rows.

The Leprechaun hat is coming along.  The buckle must get knit this weekend so Babygirl can start wearing it.

If all goes well I'll be adding some pictures this evening.  Right now I've got to run out to a few appointments.
