Year of Projects: Sunday Update #6

Still working on my lacy cardigan and a pair of socks. It is growing slowly.  Time to pick up the pace on it so I can have it done in time for Rhinebeck.  I still have to look for buttons for it. No picture as there really isn't much new to see.

Sock #1 is finished!  Moving on to #2

  4. Yay for sock #1! Hope sock #2 flies off the needles!

And if ever you're interested in swapping minis, let me know. I'm working on a sock yarn blanket myself and have a bunch of 10g babies ripe for swapping!

    1. Thanks, me too!

A mini swap in the future may work...right now I just swapped all my extras :)

  5. Love those mini skeins....how many puffs do you get out of one skein? I often envy people with the beekeeper blanket, oh, but I'm not sure I'd be committed enough to actually see one through!

    1. Thanks! I get 2-3 hexipuffs out of a 25yard mini so far. As far as seeing it through: I do believe I'll still be working on this in ten years!

    1. Thanks! Congrats on your sock! It's probably going to be a long wait for the hexis to turn into a blanket!

  9. I LOVE the sock (and the mini skeins!) -- you've reminded me, I've got hexipuffs sitting around, waiting for more puffs to be made, and eventually maybe get turned into a blanket. . . It's been so long! *sigh*

    1. I know what you mean. I started this a while ago and "forgot" about it. I'm trying to at least get a few a month so *someday* I'll have a blanket!

  13. great job on the sock - looking forward to seeing your cardigan completed. Many folks are making those puff hexi's - seems like a lot of work but it must be a nice comfy blanket.

    1. Thanks. I really need to get working o the cardi, I haven't touched it this week at all. The hexis are pretty simple. It's just the number needed and then the part of attaching them together. I'm sewing mine together. I've started putting together small groups every so often. Hopefully that way it won't be too bad to finish.
