A Year of Projects: Sunday Update #2

Must. Stop. Casting. On.

Yikes!  Since last week I've cast on a sweater for Babygirl and my Irish Sweater.  What have I finished...nothing!  I will not start any more new projects until I finish something!

Here goes...on my needles:

1. Everyday Baby Cardi for Babygirl.  Yarn is Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Bamboo in Persimmon.  I purchased the yarn on a field trip to Lion Brand in Manhattan with some members of my crochet guild.  It was back in the summer or fall of 2010, because I was pregnant with Babygirl.  Started Thursday and I've already finished the back and half the left front.  Loving how fast this is going.  Think I'll work on some more sweaters for Babygirl when I finish some projects.

2. My Irish Sweater: Halletts Ledge with my Irish yarn.  I think I know what the yarn is, just waiting for confirmation from the shop where my mom purchased it.  Technically I've only swatched this.  I need to get  a set of circs in the correct size...all mine are currently busy with other projects :(

3. Solar Flare us still on the needles.  No progress there.

4. All Shades of Truth wrap - same no progress there.

5.  Lace Cardigan - Not much progress there since Wednesday.  I have to sit down and write out the next
part of the pattern tonight.  (I do this for increasing/decreasing parts to help me see it better.)

I'm looking forward to seeing what others have been up to this week!  Happy Knitting!

    1. Good luck with the sock knitting. It took me a while to get into a groove with it...but it's so worth it!

  3. That persimmon yarn is very pretty :) See the positive in having a lot of WIPS is that you do have freedom to "change it up" when you need a new color to look at haha.

    1. I'm hoping so! I won't start the Irish sweater until I finish Babygirl's sweater. That gives me the incentive to keep going!

    1. Got that right! I have so many projects on the needles it's not even funny. One of my goals this year is to tackle UFOs and either work on them or frog them!

  13. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the baby cardigan! I have interchangable needles so I can "borrow" them from one project to another, although it's not always practical :)

  14. LOVE the color of baby girl sweater....looking forward to seeing it progress. Don't be too hard on yourself with multiple projects. You have plenty of company...we all do that, lol.

  16. Baby cardigans are great because they're so quick to knit, you'll have it done in no time. And I love the colour, great for a small girl.

  18. I have been there with the too many wips--after a time I feel a bit frantic and discombobulated and end up not being able to make progress on any of them! I sure love your baby cardi--baby girl is a lucky wee one.
